I have decided to do something a little bit different for this piece and have crafted a silver wire tree sculpture in a formal bonsai style with a lovely slant on the trunk.
The tree consists of six delicate 3D foliage sections with a rounded top canopy, all sprouting from this slated trunk. I love this antique silver wire as it is strong yet very delicate in appearance and always leads to very intricate foliage.
The piece is mounted with partially exposed roots that are growing through green moss on an earth style base. I really enjoy pairing the wire of the tree to a natural style base as it highlights the juxtaposition between the natural beauty and awe of trees and the industrial wire material used to craft my sculptures.
This is a unique one-of-a-kind piece and would make a fantastic gift for someone who admires the aesthetic beauty and majesty of trees without any of the upkeep of a live piece.
